Support for Schools

Inclusion Beyond Our School

At Goldwyn, inclusion is not confined to the boundaries of our own school. We are proud to be at the forefront of inclusive practice, working proactively with mainstream partners to help shape a system where no child is left behind. Our approach is ambitious and collaborative.

Goldwyn staff are deeply committed to sharing expertise, building capacity and strengthening provision across the wider educational landscape. By building bridges between specialist and mainstream settings, we support schools to develop confident, sustainable inclusive practice that benefits children and young people at every stage.

School-to-School Support: What We Offer

Our offer is responsive, evidence-informed and rooted in our values of nurture, high aspiration and a whole child approach to education.

1. Mainstream Nurture Placements (KS3)

We offer short-term nurture placements within our Nurture Hub for Key Stage 3 students from mainstream schools. These placements focus on:

  • Developing emotional regulation and readiness to learn
  • Embedding nurture principles and relational practice
  • Building confidence, routine and successful reintegration pathways

Alongside pupil support, we work closely with partner schools to develop their own nurture provision and expertise, ensuring impact extends well beyond the placement.

2. Training and Professional Development

Goldwyn delivers high-quality, practical training designed to strengthen inclusive practice across whole-school systems. Areas of expertise include:

  • Understanding anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA)
  • The importance of routine, structure and predictability in creating psychological safety
  • Autism awareness and inclusive classroom strategies
  • Trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches
  • A Whole Child Education – balancing wellbeing, engagement and academic progress

Training can be tailored for leaders, teachers, support staff or whole-school audiences.

3. Peer Review and Inclusive Practice Review

We offer structured peer review opportunities that provide professional challenge and supportive reflection. These reviews focus on:

  • Inclusion and SEND systems
  • Quality of provision and curriculum access
  • Outcomes for vulnerable learners

This collaborative approach supports schools to identify strengths, areas for development and next steps within a culture of trust and shared learning.

4. School Visits for Advice and Support (capacity dependent)

Goldwyn leaders and specialist staff can visit partner schools to provide advice, coaching and practical support. This may include:

  • Inclusion strategy and SEND leadership
  • Behaviour, regulation and nurture-based approaches
  • Curriculum adaptation and provision planning

6. Access to Specialist Curriculum Pathways

Partner schools can explore access to elements of our specialist curriculum, including:

  • Motor Vehicle Studies
  • Construction

These pathways are designed to re-engage learners, develop practical skills and raise aspirations, particularly for students who benefit from applied and vocational learning.L

Leading the Way in Inclusion

Goldwyn’s work beyond our school reflects our belief that inclusion is a shared responsibility. By working collaboratively, we are helping to shape a more responsive, equitable and forward-thinking system — one that is aligned with the principles of the SEND and Alternative Provision reforms and the national inclusion agenda.

We are proud to be part of a growing network of schools committed to innovation, compassion and high expectations for every learner.
